- Friendly to Environment
Proven Reliability and Efficiency: Our harbor power plant NSW provided desulfurization rate with long-term stability in 98 ~ 99% range, and in sea vessels using heavy oil with sulfur content of 2.9% it achieved an emissions equivalent to using fuel of 0.1% sulfur content.
No Bypass: Our NSW has been operating in harbor power plant for more than 10 years without bypass. It was installed on a sea vessel without bypass and delivered trouble-free operation over 2 months, scrubbing 100% of the main engine exhaust.
Several national long-term large-scale studies were performed at the harbor power plants and confirmed that the wash-water discharge is environment-friendly to marine life. Similarly, China Classification Society monitored our vessel installation and confirmed that it achieves the emission targets under MEPC.184 (59) 2009 resolution.
Our NSW solution imposes no additional environmental pressures ports, as there s no need for alkaline raw materials nor waste handling.
2. Low Cost
Only in addition to the washing sea water and electricity consumption, no chemicals, alkaline raw materials and fresh water consumption, and no additional consumption of the waste disposal cost .
For harbor power plant, the total energy consumption NSW is about 1~2 % of the power units; for vessels, the total energy consumption is about 0.8 ~1.5% of the main engine power.
Rarely occupation of ship space and load resources: in real ship trial, master scrubber combined to the original silencer of the ship, no additional occupied space; emission reduction equipment weighs less than 0.5% weight of light ship.
NSW EGC only use one of switches in the original cabinet for electricity in M/T RUI HE, no need of additional power source.

3. Good Compatibility of DeSOx and DeNOx
NSW SYS used in the harbor power plant desulfurization and denitrification and compatible to run for over 10 years; in marine applications, the compatibility of the process will be maintained as well.
